My iend put a santa hat over her hear to cover her eyes, so that what was happening wouldn't distract her, or tamper with the situation. When you see something coming you automatically think to brace yourslef, or stop what is going to happen. This way you can't you just have to take it. We have 10-12 people come into our dorm room where she was waiting patientally with a santa hat covering her eyes. We told them that they could use anything on the tbale to mess with her, or if they had a better idea that was fine. Since this is a amerature preforming art piece you never know what is going to happen. You see it as it happens. Most of them didn't know that they were being recorded until after, so that I could make sure that I got their permission to post this. Also they seemed very timid when asked to participate. They slowly became better. Most were friends so they couldn't help but giggle when they saw their firend sitting waiting to be messed with and then after couldnt help but laugh knowing she couldnt do anything about it!
My inspiration for the preformance art piece was Marina Abramovic. She is one of the most intluential Preforming artists there is today. Here are some examples of her work:
She is truly a strong women, most people couldn't do the things that she has done through her work.
